A letter from The Dwarven Council, The Guild of Miners, The Society of Mineralogists and Historians of The City of Durval

Found in the semi-closed section of the library, after a rather successful burglary.

To His Mercy, Illustrious Prelate of Oremountain,

We, the envoys of the City of Dorval, the representatives of The Guild of Miners, the emissaries of The Society of Mineralogists and Historians of the Dwarven Halls, humbly bid His Mercy, Enlightened Prelate of Oremountain, in His wisdom, the decision of learned Magisters of Eleb, on behalf of the artifact from the treatise attached, to reconsider.

With confidence we turn to Your Bright Wisdom as our resort for we have reason to believe, that the apparitions of consciousness are of no demonic origin, by the content and nature of thoughts, as by the fact that the bright flames have nor singed nor consumed them, nor filled them with horror, which surely would have come to pass if their nature was an impure one. We are therefore of the view that it would be a disservice and a loss such thoughts to extinguish, or surrender them to oblivion, without first studying them more closely.

That His Mercy is reading these lines, we are most grateful, and in His Wisdom we confide.

Your most humble and faithful servants:

Kord Restam Haliha
Stagt Tor a’Lairef

Dariw Aldrum Rolgh

Amongst the stains, these are the only signatures you are able to read. If there were other names, they are no longer discernible.
